One hazard about TV viewing that always gets made fun of is when you’re so enthralled in a show, you love the characters, and you can’t get enough, and then it gets canceled suddenly.

While Netflix has become a bit of a joke about canceling shows in two seasons are less, they’re not the only streaming offenders that do this.
Despite Disney+ coming out with so many beloved shows and movies, quite a few have been in the dust early on.
Recently, Disney+ tried to make $5 billion in budget cuts after consistent losses at the box office, and because of that, many beloved shows were canceled after one or two seasons.
And unlike many other streaming platforms, Disney+ oftentimes doesn’t give fans an explanation as to why the show was canceled. In fact, I have to guess why one show is randomly canceled while another is still thriving to this day.
While Disney+ doesn’t have many shows that get canceled after two seasons or less, there are still quite a few more than you expect.

The Mysterious Benedict Society follows a group of adventurous orphans who are set to go on a major quest with the help of a mysterious benefactor. It was fun, eccentric, and beloved by the viewers; however it was canceled after only two seasons.
It was canceled due to low viewership, though, and it was removed from the platform.
‘The Muppets Mayhem’
Starring Lily Singh, The Muppets Mayhem followed the Muppets band as they try to make their first album. Despite being loved by critics and viewers, it only lasted one season due to budget cuts.
‘Doogie Kamealoha, M.D’
Doogie Kamealoha, M.D was a show that followed a teenage girl who was both a brilliant doctor and a lovestruck teenager. Despite good reviews, it was canceled after its second season, with the reasoning behind this decision still being unclear.
‘Big Shot’
Starring John Stamos and Jessalyn Gilsig, Big Shot followed a hot-headed basketball coach who has to take a job at an all-girls private high school. It was canceled after two seasons due to alleged low viewership.
‘American Born Chinese’
American Born Chinese was a beloved show that followed a teenage boy who finds himself fighting Chinese mythological gods. With Oscar-winning actors like Key Huy Quan and Michelle Yeoh in the cast, it was a huge shock when news broke that it would be canceled after only one season.
‘National Treasure’
National Treasure is a television show based on the beloved film, where we follow a 20-year-old girl who goes on a quest to find her family history and historically lost treasure. Sadly it was canceled after one season, with no reason given as to why.
