but I read in a couple different publications recently, that Eileen Davidson is leaving the show. Could this last parade of characters, and Ashley admitting herself to a mental hospital in Paris, possible have been ED’s swan song? Today’s show had that element to it. Her saying goodbye to Tucker was actually emotional.

Someone here said she wasn’t leaving until September, but I did notice that ED really seemed to be saying a tearful good-bye. It was quite touching, actually.

I hope that because I want her to get better. Then write a building relationship with Tucker.

I’m sure she will heal, but I don’t see a future for her with Tucker. I think today what they showed was the two of them having closure.

Before the DID storyline, ED was scheduled to leave either permanently or on her periodical jaunt to her Paris office.
I like ED & I would miss her. I hope, if she is leaving it is only temporarily.

I doubt she’s leaving the show permanently. She has been recurring for a number of years. She comes in does her thing and then leaves again for who knows how long.
She had a long run in a storyline this time, and I imagine she’s taking extended time off to spend with her family. I’m sure she’ll be back at some point in the future. Likely not for many months though.

I think you are right. At one time I read her husband was living in Japan for a year doing something so I would think she would want some
time to go spend with him.

Exactly right.
I think Eileeen likes to maintain a good work/Life balance,so she comes and goes when it’s mutually agreeable.
I think she’s FAB

Zina21 June 11, 2024, 10:32am 9I love Eileen so I hope this won’t be permanent. Also, this DID story is not complete. I hope that Griffith isn’t planning on leaving it like this but who knows since he hardly ever completes a story.
sakp6 June 11, 2024, 3:45pm 10I’m ready for a break from the DID story and think it would be OK to revisit it in 6 months or so. That might be a reasonable amount of time for Ashley to have made some progress while at the clinic.
Zina21 June 11, 2024, 3:50pm 11Yes, I suppose so although I wouldn’t want to wait that long to find out what childhood trauma caused her DID. But judging from Griffith’s past stories left for years without answers, I wouldn’t be surprised if it takes more like ten years, if ever, to find out what caused it.

It most likely won’t be for a year or so. Families are so very important and family members aren’t going to be around forever. I wouldn’t want ED to end up like the father in Cats In the Cradle. Working is fine and rewarding, so it’s hard for some people to squeeze loved ones into their schedules. Unfortunately, my brother knows that all too well. Harry Chapin was an amazing singer and storyteller…
GiGi44 June 11, 2024, 9:11pm 13I like Ashley, she is just fine. The actress did a good job with this story. However, just like with Jordan, and Claire, and Adam/Nick/Sally and so many other stories that go on and on and on, I get sick of characters I like and their never ending stories too.
Zina21 June 12, 2024, 12:22pm 14The thing that bugs me most about these stories is that the writer never gives us answers that we need. He likes to torture the viewers.
