Festival features include:
- A petting zoo and pony rides.
- Kids games and prizes.
- A variety of demonstrations, including cider-pressing, crafts -- spinning, lace-making and weaving, and blacksmithing
- A giant pumpkin contest.
- Gypsy fortunetelling and ghost stories.
- Tours of the Hopper-Goetschius House.
The Upper Saddle River Library is co-sponsoring the event.
The event will run from 1-4 p.m. on the grounds of the Hopper-Goetschius House Museum, 245 Lake St., Upper Saddle River.
At least 277 years old, the Hopper-Goetschius house is the oldest remaining house in Upper Saddle River. The Hopper family built the house and farmed a large area of land. It became the Rev. Stephen Goetschius' home in 1814, and it stayed in his family for a century and a half.
